When you look at the tremendous success that Dwayne Johnson has achieved in his lifetime, it's hard to imagine the WWE Legend becoming a global megastar, defeated, dejected and broke. But that's exactly what he was at the young age of 22 when his dreams of playing for the NFL came to an abrupt end.

"I wanted to do whatever I could with my own two hands to change the direction of my life," says Johnson, and he did just that.

The moment ZOA Energy was born
Founded by co-founders Johnson, Dave Rienzi, Dany Garcia and John Shulman who spent decades not only building brands and businesses together, but spanning more than 31 years forging a bond that now feels more like extended family. "We're business partners, but more importantly, we're family," says Johnson. When the tight-knit group realized that there was no energy drink on the market that met their expectations, namely made with clean ingredients, essential vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids and clean, green, natural caffeine, it went without saying that we, partners to become and bring their vision to life.
"When we realized the energy drink we wanted didn't exist, we decided to partner, align our vision and ambition, and create it," Johnson said. And in that effort, ZOA Energy was born.
A winning formula (in the gym and in the market)
It wasn't long before ZOA Energy became the fastest growing energy drink out there, and for good reason. t only did consumers enjoy the product, but they also respected the co-founder's mission behind the drink: to provide everyone, regardless of origin, culture and status, with a clean, natural energy drink, formulated with the health and goals of the consumer in mind became.

Rienzi's expertise has given him a deep knowledge of sports supplements, which makes the formulation of ZOA+ unique. “In developing the formulation of ZOA+, I have incorporated the ingredients that I have found to work best for my clients and myself over the years, in addition to incorporating new formulation innovations,” says Rienzi. And it wasn't an overnight operation by any means, as the co-founders strategically ran a formulation process over a period of eight months.
