She is a global C-suite executive, world-renowned STEM activist and high-performance athlete. Known as an internationally highly regarded endurance athlete, Vetere has completed 92 races, including multiple Ironman 70.3s, and was crowned Ironman Bronze All-World Athlete for her performance in the top ten percent of her age group in both the 2018 and 2019 racing seasons.
If you don't know what an Ironman is, just know that it's not an activity that you can master in your free time over the weekend. It's a grueling one-day race covering a total of 70.3 miles, combining a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride and a 13.1-mile marathon. So far, Vetere has completed 14 Ironman events.
And when she's not traveling the world teaching and inspiring others in technology, Vetere makes time (doesn't find it) to mentor Olympic athletes, Navy SEALs, and others while training for multiple races. In 2022, Vetere went further and founded Aligned Alliance and took to the streets with a team of eight for Race Across America (RAAM), a 3,070-mile bike race from Oceanside, California to Annapolis, MD.

In 2023, Rhonda Vetere will compete in a handful of Ironman 70.3 events including the St. George 70.3 Ironman. In addition, she has a 55-mile long-distance run and multiple marathons on her books, including her seventh straight year when she ran the New York City Marathon.

The connection between sport and STEM
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is one of Vetere's passions as she sees an insightful connection between STEM and sport. "There are positive correlations between the mindset in STEM, athletics and the business world," says Vetere. "In technology, we're always turning around, adapting, innovating, reverse engineering, correlating, problem-solving, creating, and focusing on an end goal," she explains. Similar to sports.
