"As we approach Veterans Day and thank those who have worn our great nation's uniform, it is truly amazing to recognize those who continue to serve outside of uniform," said Johnson. “w these heroes walk among us every day and they inspire us to follow in their footsteps with the same sense of service, character and leadership. w, on Veterans Day, Project Rock is very proud to support the Travis Manion Foundation. The work TMF does with veterans and families of the fallen, providing them training and personal development experiences, transforming their leadership to continue serving in their local community, but especially to mentor and serve the next generation, is by crucial. "

“One of the most important ways to do this is through an amazing program called 'Character Does Matter' from Under Armor, where thousands of veterans connect with local youth in their community for mentoring, leadership and character building in school programs , in sports teams and in groups and camps, ”says Johnson.

The Rock shared that every third child grows up without a positive role model in their life, and stressed the importance of resources like the TMF. Youngsters in need are connected to a military veteran who can use his personal experiences and qualities to improve the lives of the next generation. "Since the program began, veterans have connected with more than 400,000 youth across the country," says Johnson. "Offer mentorship, (and) a positive role model that some may never have had."
